Q: How old are you?

A: 25

Q: What is your occupation?

A: I'm in Sales for Thomson Reuters.

Q: How long have you been playing squash?

A: 3 months (new blood!)

Q: How did you get into squash?

A: My friend Amy Sprague and I were looking for something fun to join as a way of getting some exercise besides going to the gym. It was perfect timing that group lessons started in January, and we've been going ever since.

Q: How often do you play squash per week?

A: I've been taking group lessons twice a week (Mondays at Dal, Tuesdays at the Tower) and I try to get in at least once to rally with a friend. Hopefully the Women's summer league comes through...

Q: How was your first tournament?

A: Andrew Sleigh (instructor) organized a Novice division at the NS Open in March to entice all of us "newbies" to come out and meet other people in the Squash community, plus to get some court-time playing in a competitive environment. We were all a bit apprehensive as we had only been playing for 2 months or so, but it turned out to be so much fun. It was great meeting so many new faces, plus you learn a lot just by watching some of the higher levels play.

Q: What club(s) do you play at?

A: The Tower mostly.

Q: What would you say to people who are interested in playing squash but have never tried it?

A: Come out and give it a try! It's fun, it will whip you into shape, and it's a great way to get your frustrations out.

Q: What do you like to do when you're not playing squash?

A: I travel a lot with work, and spare time is not something I have a lot of. That being said, I'm good at cramming things in. I am involved with Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Halifax and spend a few hours every week with my "little." And in the summertime, I get out golfing at least once a week.

Q: Where are you from?

A: Burnaby, BC

Q: Do you have a favourite song or type of music to listen when playing squash/sports?

A: Freddy Mercury.

Q: What would be a good title for a Squash-themed movie?

A: Hot Balls.
